Penitas RV and Mobile Home Park
Peñitas, TXOUR LOCATION
Address
We’re located at 304 S Main St in Peñitas, TX. Google and other apps often list us at 304 19th St, which is historically accurate, but the Post Office now uses S Main St for our address. We are sometimes listed as Fountain at Penitas RV Park. That is an old name we are phasing out.
We are one (long) block south of Expressway 83. There is a Walmart Supercenter plaza on the other side of the Expressway. The Peñitas City building, Police Dept, Fire Dept, Library and Park are less than a mile to the south of us on Main St.
The Rio Grande Valley
The Rio Grande Valley is the warmest wintertime region in the United States not located in California or Florida. It’s the citrus belt of Texas, producing the third most citrus fruit in the US.
The lower Rio Grande Valley is also home to the National Butterfly Center and is considered one of the best birding areas in the country, with many exotic species making their summer (and winter) homes here.

We have been coming here for the past 12 winters. Our plan was to stay one winter, but we keep coming back because of the friendly people. It isn’t a large park, so one gets to know all the residents. There is a pool, laundry room, RC racetrack, and activities in the rec hall.
After coming to this park many years as a winter Texan, I now live here year-round. People in the park are friendly and willing to help when needed I love the flowering bushes and trees throughout the park.
We enjoy staying at this natural RV park, surrounded by Texas mesquite trees. No concrete jungle here, so it feels like a secret country getaway. The best things about the park are the friendly people and close proximity to major retail stores and restaurants.
